Marc-Andre Fleury and Peter Budaj Had an Entertaining Attempt at a Goalie Fight Last Night (Video)

Marc-Andre Fleury and Peter Budaj didn’t actually get to drop their gloves and throw some fists during a scuffle in the third period of last night’s game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens, but they tried.

With players from both teams busy mixing it up in front of the Penguins’ goal, Budaj made his way to center ice and signaled to Fleury in an attempt to goad him into a fight.  And it nearly worked, as Fleury began to make his way towards the Habs’ netminder, but he wasn’t quite able to maneuver his way around the intercepting official.

In the end, there would be no fight, but the buildup is at least worth the watch.  You can check it out below:
