Stat Line of the Night — 1/23/2014 — LaMarcus Aldridge
After being left off the Western Conference’s starting roster for the upcoming All-Star Game in favor of Kevin Love and Blake Griffin, the Portland Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge set out to prove a point against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night. And prove a point he did.
Aldridge was a dominant force throughout the contest, scoring a career-high 44 points to go along with 13 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks during the Trail Blazers’ 110-105 victory.
With the win, the Blazers now own a 32-11 record, leaving them one game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for top spot in the West. As for Aldridge, he may not have made the starting line-up, but he’s definitely a lock to make the Western Conference reserves, and he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Thursday, January 23, 2014.
