Are you ready for some Costas? If you live in the United States of America and you plan to watch the Olympics, you’d better be. NBC has got the 2014 Winter Olympics, so Bob Costas is going to be on your TV for the next two weeks pontificating about “Jackass” sports, the acceptable ways to celebrate a victory, and the intrinsic evil of sports blogs. It’s going to be some real hard-hitting journalism-type stuff, because this guy takes his job as “head NBC sports guy” very seriously. (Remember that time he had Charles Barkley and John McEnroe on his show, and the three of them solved America’s gun problem? That was amazing!)

Of course, that’s what makes the clip you’re about to watch so fun. It’s the ever-earnest Bob Costas, suffering from an inopportune case of conjunctivitis (i.e. pink eye)—which I actually do feel bad about, because that really sucks—talking about that Russian feminist punk rock band that spent nearly two years in jail for protesting against Putin
