2014 Sochi Olympics: You Need a Canadian Passport to Open Team Canada’s Beer Fridges
Canadians sure do love their winter sports, but the one thing they love just as much, if not more, is an ice cold Canadian beer.
In an effort to make sure Canadian Olympians can still enjoy their love for an ice cold Canadian beer while representing their country at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Molson Breweries has shipped over some beer fridges filled with bottles of Molson Canadian beer for Canada’s Olympic House. But the athletes shouldn’t bank on getting their hands on a Molson Canadian without their Canadian passport handy, because that’s the only form of currency that these vending machines accept.
That’s right. No coins or bills needed here. Just a single swipe of your Canadian passport, and you’re free to enjoy as much Canadian beer as you wish.
