All-Pro Defensive End J.J. Watt Would Like You to Know He Doesn’t Suck at Hockey (Video)
When you think of the Houston Texans’ J.J. Watt, you think of blocked passes, vicious tackles, and all-around nasty defense. After all, he might just be the best defensive player in the NFL today. However, as his pass-swatting prowess suggests, Watt isn’t just some big fat guy who gets in people’s way. He’s a gifted athlete. And it turns out that, growing up in Wisconsin, the guy played a lot of hockey.
Of course, Watt didn’t go too far in the sport because it’s so expensive to play, so he opted for football instead…where you don’t have to buy your own equipment. But the guy still has some pretty solid skating and stick-handling skills for an All-Pro defensive end.
Take a look:
J.J. tweeted that video at Patrick Kane yesterday, saying he’s ready if Team USA needs him to fill in for anyone in Sochi.
However, I think he was just jealous that Justin Bieber was getting attention for being surprisingly decent at hockey.
