Islanders Coaches Troll the Hell Out of the Classy Female Jets Fan Flipping Them the Bird (Video)
The plexiglass that separates hockey players from the fans has the tendency to bring out the worst in people. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of drunken, belligerent, foul-mouthed idiots at football, basketball, and baseball games. But the vast majority of them hurl their taunts and insults from a safe distance. They don’t get up in a player’s face, because they know they might get jacked.
At a hockey game it’s different. Fans are protected from the players and coaches by the glass the way petulant 12-year-olds are protected from the apes they harass at the zoo. Any wasted a-hole can flip a guy off and scream obscenities two inches from his face, which you would never see at a football game.
Of course, hockey players and coaches are used to it, so almost nothing anyone does behind the glass really bothers them. That does not mean, however, that they don’t sometimes like to have a little fun. And that brings us to last night’s Islanders-Jets game in Winnipeg.
After the Islanders defeated the home team in overtime, their coaching staff decided to troll the enraged Jets fan sitting right behind the bench. Take a look:
