I don’t know why, but there’s something about the thrill of getting your hands on a souvenir baseball that has helped make the sport one of the most frequent settings for parenting fails.
We’ve seen dads do anything for a baseball in the past, from dropping their daughter while catching a ball, to steamrolling their own son while chasing down a homer. And for our latest edition of “parenting fails at baseball games,” we take you to Monday afternoon’s spring training tilt between the Marlins and the Mets, where this happened following a ground rule double off the bat of the Mets’ Chris Young:
