Nobody really expects a post-game interview to be entraining or informative. Sure, every once in a while we get a Richard Sherman moment in which something completely unscripted and unexpected happens, and that’s fun. But post-game interviews like that are rare. The vast majority of them feature athletes giving clichéd answers to clichéd questions.

Fortunately, the Miami Heat’s Chris Andersen is not one for clichés. And on Monday night, when he sat down in the studio with Sun Sports’ Jason Jackson following Miami’s win over the Wizards, he gave one of the greatest post-game interviews of all time.

In fact, it’s not even right to call it an “interview.” “Performance art” would be more accurate. From the opening handshake to Birdman’s straight-faced, dead-eyed chastisement of the play-by-play guys, this thing is solid gold.
