LeBron James Records Rap Track Titled “Kingdom” (Audio)
No, this is not an April Fool’s Day prank.
TMZ somehow got their completely respectable hands on a rap track called “Kingdom,” recorded by LeBron James and Sian Cotton in Ohio. And despite knowing that the world would not be able to handle LeBron spitting out an entire verse and hook, they released the song onto the internet anyway.
LeBron James’ “Kingdom” is a remix of Jay Z’s “F**kwithmeyouknowIgotit,” and it has King James rhyming about the ingredients of his life—typical stuff, like money, cars, and NBA championship rings—in a somewhat monotone flow.
I suppose I could make fun of LeBron James rapping in this space, but honestly, how could I? The track is pretty clearly a lark (an idea that’s borne out by the TMZ article here). Also, the whole thing is so ridiculous that it would be a little bit redundant to try to make jokes about it.
So what are you waiting for? You can listen to the track for yourself below. Enter the “Kingdom” at your own risk.
