I’ll say, it sure is nice hearing Gus Johnson‘s emphatic calls coming from all corners of the sports world, from Big Ten Football to women’s international soccer.

And his latest piece of notable work came while commentating a European soccer match for Fox Sports.  More specifically, it took place following a Patrice Evra goal during the second leg of Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal battle against Bayern Munich.

To Gus Johnson’s credit, the goal was worth getting excited over, not only because it gave Man U an unlikely 2-1 lead on aggregate, but also because of its sheer beauty.

Unfortunately, Manchester United’s lead would be short-lived, as Bayern stormed back with three goals of their own, giving them the 4-2 victory on aggregate.
