Denzel Perryman decleat Hit

Denzel Perryman, linebacker for the Miami Hurricanes, is getting a lot of attention for the quantity and quality of his tackles on the field.  Last year he led the University of Miami in that department, and it doesn’t look like next season is going to be much different. At least not according to the decleating he gave Miami sophomore running back Gus Edwards.

The hit happened during the Hurricanes’ spring game over the weekend. And even though it’s plenty impressive on its own, it becomes even more impressive when you note the surprising fact that Edwards weighs 235 pounds—just seven pounds less than Denzel Perryman himself.

You can see Denzel Perryman’s impressive leveling of his fellow University of Miami Hurricane teammate in both video and animated GIF form below. Unfortunately, the TV coverage of the game wasn’t quite up to NFL standards, but you can still practically feel the hit anyway.
