President Barack Obama Weighs In On Donald Sterling Controversy (Video)

President Barack Obama was one of many to give his opinion on the ongoing Donald Sterling racist audio controversy.

While his statement wasn’t quite as strong and to the point as Snoop Dogg‘s, it identified in no uncertain terms where Obama stands on the matter: “When ignorant folks want to advertise their ignorance, you don’t really have to do anything, you just let them talk.”

That’s a good point, and especially relevant in this situation, which has Donald Sterling not just shooting himself in the foot, but in both feet, with a machine gun. Obama also expressed his wish and belief that NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will resolve this issue quickly—presumably meaning he’d like to see some kind of harsh disciplinary action towards Sterling.
