Matt Kemp, In Wake Of Donald Sterling Scandal, Changes Walk-Up Music To “Black Or White” (Video)

Matt Kemp

Matt Kemp, having unwittingly found himself as a person of interest in the Donald Sterling/Los Angeles Clippers racism fiasco, has taken action in a pretty funny manner.

Kemp was referenced by the Clippers owner as a person that Sterling didn’t want photographed with his girlfriend because Kemp is black. After the bizarre taped discussion between Sterling and his mistress, V. Stiviano, regarding whether or not Kemp was persona non grata in photographs because he was “mixed” was released, Kemp took some good-natured ribbing from his Los Angeles Dodgers teammates.

The unnamed teammates played Michael Jackson‘s “Black or White,” during batting practice in response to the weekend scandal. And Kemp apparently found the song funny and topical enough to make the late-era Michael Jackson hit his walk-up soundtrack for his first at-bat on Sunday.

Check out the video to see the walk-up in action:

It’s anyone guess how long the music will remain in place, but I’m sure many Los Angeles sports fans are hoping it outlasts Donald Sterling’s stint as owner of the Clips.

Hat Tip – [FTW]
