Soccer fan on fire

In the off chance you needed a case study to demonstrate why you don’t bring flares or explosives to rowdy soccer matches, here you go: A fan brandishing a lit flare at a Polish soccer match was met with (surprise!) misfortune when security attempted to extinguish the flare, but somehow wound up setting the man on fire instead.

(Bonus points for those who noticed in the photo above how blasé the other fans are about a man burning in front of their very eyes.)

The insane occurrence, captured above and in the video below, took place at a match between Slask Wroclaw and Zagelbie Lubin in Poland. The Zagalbie Lubin fan, looking to spice the match up a notch, whipped out a lit flare, which I’m sure both bystanders and security didn’t appreciate very much.

Remarkably, after the fan was ignited, he reportedly suffered no injuries or burns, which leads me to believe that the fan in question is either made 100% of asbestos or is The Terminator.

Watch it all play out below. Pay close attention to the fan with the flare at the bottom left corner of the screen at the 1:40 mark of the video—it happens fast:
