Funny Video: “No Foul Coalition” Pledges to Eliminate (Most) Racism From Sports
“Not so fast,” says the No Foul Coalition. There’s plenty more work to be done.
Despite its authentic seeming (at least at first) name and promotional video, the No Foul Coalition is actually the work of comedy troupe ADD, who are satirizing the way that people get up in arms about someone like Donald Sterling, but allow team names like the Washington Redskins and the Atlanta Braves to continue without serious opposition.
It might be noted that the one team in the NBA with a Native American themed name, the Golden State Warriors, abandoned the use of Native American imagery back in 1997—which, of course, would be significantly tougher to do with a team name like the “Redskins.”
