Here’s Every Overtime Goal from the First Round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs (Video)
Jonathan Quick Punched Corey Perry in the Nuts with His Blocker (Video)
When is comes to producing points, Anaheim forward Corey Perry has been whisper quiet so far in the Ducks’ second round series against the Kings. The guy recorded 43 goals and 39 assists in the regular season, but in the first two games against L.A.—both home losses—he’s got zero and zero.
However, Perry hasn’t been completely absent from the series. He’s been making his presence felt in other ways—like when he squirted water into Jeff Carter‘s glove:
And that kind of thing, it seems, is getting under the Kings’ skin a bit. Maybe not enough to get the 2012 Stanley Cup champs rattled and off their game, but enough to make All-World netminder Jonathan Quick want to punch him in the nuts with his blocker last night:
I guess Jonathan Quick is going to start calling that his cock blocker now.
In any case, it will be interesting to see if the Ducks have any response to either the metaphorical or literal nut shots they took from the Kings when they play Game 3 on Thursday, 30 miles down the road at the Staples Center. The puck drop at 10PM ET, 7PM PT. Check your local listings.
