Washington Post Columnist Mike Wise Stirs Controversy by Blasting Indiana Pacers’ Pre-Game Music
There Was a Snake in the Trail Blazers Locker Room Before Game 2 vs. Spurs (Photos)
The Portland Trail Blazers were visiting San Antonio, Texas to play the Spursfor Game 2 of their second-round NBA Playoff series, when they received a Texas-style pregame welcome in their locker room at the AT&T Center.
If you read the headline, you already know what it was—in the words of Blazers guard Mo Williams via Instagram, “it’s a damn snake.”
Although initial reports said that it was a rattlesnake, that thankfully turned out to be false (I guess pro basketball players aren’t necessarily snake experts). And it was a good thing, too, as the snake pictured above turned out to be harmless, and no one in the locker room was bitten.
You can read a surprisingly detailed account of the story of the snake in the Blazers locker room from the team’s official website here. It implies a theory that the snake was put there by known snake owner and Spurs guard Danny Green, but the truth is no one knows where the snake really came from as of yet.
