300 pound rugby

Props in rugby are generally valued for their toughness and endurance, often sacrificing speedin the equation. But Daniel Tupou, 18 years old and weighing in at 300 pounds, is faster than most guys half his size.

Daniel Tupou is on the rugby team at Sacred Heart College in Auckland, New Zealand, and recently turned heads for his unique, lightning-fast game-play on the field. I imagine that he’s destined for rugby stardom, and he already has a catchy nickname, the “Tongan Thor.”

Whether or not the whole “Tongan Thor” thing takes off, one thing is certain:┬áthe kid is fast. You can get an idea of how fast on his feet he really is by watching the video below. It shows Tupou’s recent star performance in a Sacred Heart game, scoring a hat trick against the opposing team and making it look pretty damn easy in the process.
