Josh Reddick Has the Best Walkup Song in the History of Walkup Songs (Video)
As you may or may not know, every Major League Baseball player gets to choose their own walkup music—i.e., the music that gets played over the PA system when they walk to the plate in their home ballpark.
Of course, most players pick energetic, high-tempo songs that get them pumped up. Sometimes it’s hip hop, sometimes heavy metal. But it’s almost always something with a great beat or a catchy guitar riff.
Not Josh Reddick though. The Oakland A’s right fielder doesn’t care if the fans want Drake or Guns ‘n’ Roses, he prefers to keep things sexy as hell. And that’s why, these days, you can hear him walk to the plate to the sound of the greatest slow jam ever performed by a white English dude—”Careless Whisper” by George Michael.
Take a look, and let that smooth, sultry, saxophone hook just carry you away…
Damn that’s smooth.
Leave some ladies for the rest of us, Josh Reddick.
