LeBron James boycott

Yesterday, we told you about the comments made by National Basketball Players Association Vice President Roger Mason during last night’s episode of Jim Rome on Showtime.

In case you missed it, here is the question from Jim Rome and the response from Mason, put together in a 20 second clip previewing Wednesday night’s episode:

So LeBron James has stated that he will lead a boycott next season if Donald Sterling is still an owner?

Well, apparently that’s not quite the case.  Mason can’t tell us for certain that LeBron “ain’t playin’ if Sterling is still an owner,” because LeBron didn’t tell him he ain’t playin’ if Sterling is still an owner.

Here is Roger Mason’s clarification on the matter, via his Twitter account:

Roger Mason tweets LeBron

Let me see if I understand correctly, Roger: You said LeBron James told you he’s not playing if Donald Sterling is still an owner, but now you’re telling us he didn’t tell you that?

…So you lied?

Yup, think I got it now.  Thanks for the clarification!
