It’s understandable why young, dumb fans would gravitate towards Chris Andersen. It’s the same reason I liked Dennis Rodman when I was a young, dumb fan. He’s a colorful, semi-rebellious player who is very comfortable in the background of a more star-studded team.

However, it seems as though Chris Andersen is not the jackass that Rodman was/is. But does that really explain why you would let your kid shave his hair into a mohawk, then cover his body in tattoos to emulate the iconic player?

(I realize those tattoos are certainly fake, but I don’t really want to acknowledge it, because in my heart of hearts, I like the idea of parents allowing a 12 year-old to cover his body in real tattoos in admiration of a goofy player like Birdman.)

Anyway, Bill Simmons spotted this kid, and had to get a picture. And I guess he let Jalen Rose join in as well.

Now if someone with better Photoshop skills than me could do a face swap between Simmons and the kid, we’d really have something.
