Doug Collins Rapping

In case you thought that maybe in some dark corner of the NBA, you could avoid the influence of hip-hop, this will put that to rest once and for all—”this” being Doug Collins dropping rhymes from the Baby and Clipse song “What Happened to That Boy?” upon cue from Jalen Rose.

The ESPN desk team was talking about Chris “Birdman” Andersen‘s absence from Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals when Jalen Rose let out a bird call similar to the one in the song. Doug Collins, being the middle-aged white dude that he is, didn’t miss a beat in offering up, “What happened to that boy?”…

JUST LIKE IN THE SONG!!!

Rather than have me offer a narrative of the events, how about you spend 20 seconds or so checking it out for yourself.

Credit where credit is due: It wasn’t like he was quoting “California Love” or “2 Legit 2 Quit.”  I had no idea Doug was down with the Cash Money crew.
