Robert Griffin III Helps Female High School Student Ask Classmate With Cerebral Palsy to Prom (Video)

RGIII Helps Kid Go To Prom

Juwaan Espinal is a junior at Centreville High School in Clifton, Virginia, and his favorite athlete is Robert Griffin III, a.k.a. RGIII.  So when Espinal’s classmate Morgan Assel wanted to ask him to prom, she enlisted RGIII’s help in popping the question, and he actually showed up at a lacrosse game to do it.

Espinal suffers from cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair, but he was pretty excited about the double shot of getting asked to prom and meeting his favorite quarterback. There were also some banners involved—in other words, a pretty elaborate way to ask someone to prom. Morgan took to Twitter to display the banner:

As you can see in the video below, it was worth the effort.
