RoboCop Throws Out First Pitch at Detroit Tigers Game…Makes 172 Arrests (Video)
The trend continued on Tuesday night in Detroit, where RoboCop—star of the feature film RoboCop—did the honors prior to the Tigers game against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact that RoboCop was released on DVD and Blu-Ray yesterday.
As you might expect, Officer Murphy doesn’t have very good range of motion in his shoulders, which really hindered his mechanics and limited his velocity. But all things considered, the pitch was pretty good. 50 Cent and Nick Young were not wearing Robo-suits, and look how they did.
Of course, RoboCop didn’t just throw out the first pitch. He also hung out with players before the game and posed for photos.
Tigers’ speedster Rajai Davis had a good time with it.
I was kidding about RoboCop making 172 arrests, though. He’s not actually a cop. That was just a movie.
