HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ NFL Documentary Will Feature The Atlanta Falcons *Cue Tuba Music*
Because the good teams really don’t need camera crews up in their faces to get good press (or any press, really), the pool of “talent” for HBO’s Hard Knocks is always a little bleak. Most teams don’t want the distraction during training camp, but the league loves the coverage, so there’s more than a little insistence that SOMEONE get on Hard Knocks.
And since the league doesn’t want to upset its moneymakers, that someone is the Atlanta Falcons.
Here’s the announcement via Twitter:

Okay then. Hard Knocks is pretty much an idiot-proof concept, and, from a spectator’s perspective, a beleaguered smaller-market team may make for better viewing than watching Belichick just hide everything from the crew. But there’s still something slightly sad about being selected. It’s like being a four seed in the NIT.
No word on airdates yet, but when we know, you’ll know.
