The 2014 FIFA World Cup is just four days old, but we’ve probably already seen the best goal of the tournament.
In fact, we may have already seen a goal that will go down as one of the greatest in World Cup history.
I am talking, of course, about the ridiculous rainbow header Robin van Persie scored on Friday against Spain. It was just the first of Holland’s mind-blowing five goal deluge, but it definitely stood out. The beautiful feed, the perfect header, the bellyflop landing—it was downright majestic. So it really should come as no surprise that, since then, the internet has been hard at work photoshopping flying RVP into all sorts of crazy situations, just like it did with Fred’s hilarious flop.
