Do you like fun hats? Of course. Everyone loves a fun hat!

Or so goes the thinking of the MLB marketing team that has decided that all hats at this year’s All-Star Game will be 70′s-themed. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.

So, in case hosting an All-Star Game in Minnesota wasn’t fun enough, now we’re getting throwback hats under the pretense of fun nostalgia, but probably just as a result of a lucrative partnership between the league and New Era.

Here’s a Tweet that shows off the wares we’ll see on the field:

Ok. Those are pretty cool looking. I’ll let this crass money grab go this once. However, rather than dwelling on the ones we like, and being all “positive,” let’s single out the ones that don’t look good, so we can focus on the negative. Doesn’t that sound fun?

The following hats are substandard:

  • Any hat with an “M,” a “C,” or an “A” on it. Those are all overdone, and they’re hard to tell apart.
  • The Yankees one

That is all. The remainder of the hats are fabulous.
