Yasiel Puig Crushes Ball So Hard, He Literally Left His Name Imprinted on It (Pic)
The legend of Yasiel Puig just continues to grow, pretty much on a daily basis.
The fun-loving, cannon-armed, bat-flipping, bobble-headed Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder is already a superstar among Dodgers fans and a household name among baseball fans throughout the rest of the country. However, over the next few days, he could very well enter the sports stratosphere. Puig will make his first ever start in the MLB All-Star Game for the National League on Tuesday night at Target Field, and tonight he’ll show off his incredible power in the Home Run Derby.
Of course, one lucky Dodgers fan already has a pretty good souvenir that serves as a reminder of Yasiel Puig’s raw power. During batting practice prior to yesterday’s game against the Padres, Puig crushed one ball so hard that the name on his bat left an imprint on the ball.
Most of the time, when you catch a ball at a game, there’s no way to prove who hit it. But not this time.
If you want to check out the Home Run Derby tonight, it starts at 8 P.M ET on ESPN…or Sportsnet for you Canadians.
