Did you hear the news yesterday that you will now be able to get NFL Sunday Ticket even if you don’t have DirecTV? Well, it’s true. But you definitely don’t get excited yet. It turns out that there’s a huge catch.

First the good news: DirecTV is finally opening up their exclusive NFL Sunday Ticket package to people who do not have DirecTV as their premium television provider. This year they will offer $199.99 subscriptions that will let you view all out-of-market NFL games on iOS and Android portable devices, as well as PCs. They’ll also offer a $239.99 “console package” that will let you watch them on your Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, or PlayStation 4. And for $329.99 you can get “the max package” that lets you watch all the games on portable devices or consoles.

The huge catch? The folks at DirecTV confirmed to USA Today that they will only sell these NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV streaming packages to people who are unable to install a satellite dish.

What does that mean? If you live in an apartment or condo that doesn’t allow satellite dishes, you can get NFL Sunday Ticket. If you live in a house or somewhere where you could get a dish, you can switch to DirecTV or go f**k yourself.

And here I was all excited for “Football on Your PS4″ by the Manning Brothers.
