Here’s the “In Memoriam” Segment We Didn’t See at the 2014 MLB All-Star Game (Video)
Padres Game First Pitch to Be Tossed Out by 105 Year-Old Woman (Pic)
Oh my gosh. There are so many 50 Cent jokes to make here. I don’t even know where to start. The worst part is, I can only pick one. I can’t do it. It would be like picking a favorite child. We’ll leave the comparisons and wisecracks to the readership and get on with the story.
The San Diego Padres have selected 105 year-old woman Agnes McKee to toss out the ceremonial first pitch at one of their games. 50 Cent jokes aside, this is pretty great. Agnes is up to the task and has even been boning up on her baseball knowledge so that she can reference a few current players if asked. That puts her one step ahead of this writer.
Not only is her participation great, but I find it awesome that a 105 year-old lady is named Agnes, because if her name wasn’t known, I would have named her “Agnes” or “Rose” in my head immediately.
She throws out the first pitch on Sunday’s game, so I’m sure you can expect the side-by-side comparisons of her form with 50 Cent’s come Sunday evening.
Fiddy, you hot.
