Bengals’ Matt Scott Throws Up on the Field Before Tossing a TD (Video)
Matt Scott has every reason to be nervous as he’s taking snaps in an NFL pre-season game. In addition to the fact that playing quarterback in front of thousands (millions) as an inexperienced player is very nerve-wracking, he’s playing for his job. Last year, he was the practice squad QB for the Jaguars.
My God. It doesn’t get much lower than that.
Hoping to make more of an impression with the Bengals, he made the decision to stand out from the other candidates by vomiting through his face mask prior to a snap. I hope he took out his mouthguard.
Matt Scott has a pretty awesome history of puking on the field, which is maybe not a quality (terrible nerves, weak stomach) that an NFL team looks for in a quarterback. Whatever. I’m not a scout.
I don’t watch pre-season football because it pisses me off, but I’m hoping that some eagle-eyed fan kept their gaze on the vomit spot to see if any other players fell in the vomit over the course of the rest of the game.
Unfortunately, the grass underneath didn’t turn brown over the course of the game. That would have been just terrific.
ANYWAY, Scott recovered from the vomiting to throw a touchdown on the same drive. I love a happy disgusting ending.
