Celebrities may get more breaks because they’re celebrities, and while catching a foul ball is largely dumb luck, having the right type of seats (aka, good ones) does lower the uncertainty a bit.
So while the act of catching the ball may be another in a long list of things that a celebrity gets access to that regular folk don’t, Chris Rock was able to pay that good fortune forward to a younger, more excitable fan.
While Rock is a noted Mets fan, he found his way to the Bronx to catch a Yankees game with Boardwalk Empire actor Bobby Cannavale (pictured grinning in the middle). Just look at those seats. Won’t find that comfort at Fenway.

We could go on discussing the magnanimous gesture or how the kid will have a story that will last the rest of his childhood, or even Bobby Cannavale’s psychopathic character in season 3 of Boardwalk Empire, but I’d really rather discuss those seats.
