WTF? Shea Weber Shoots a Puck Through the Boards (Pics)
I know it’s the middle of August and you’re way too excited about preseason football to care about hockey. But trust me, this post is worth your time, and you don’t have to know a thing about hockey.
You see, NHL training camps have not started yet. However, some hockey players are already working out, and among them is Nashville Predators defenseman (and two-time Olympic gold medalist) Shea Weber, owner of the hardest shot in hockey.
So what did Shea Weber do? Kill a guy with a slapshot or something?
Nah. He just shot a puck right through the motherf#@%ing boards—you know, that hard barrier around the rink made of high-density space-aged plastic that is specifically designed to withstand the impact of frozen chunks of vulcanized rubber flying at speeds greater than 100 mph.
I mean, just looks at this:
See what I mean? I know Johnny Manziel giving people the finger was a huge deal and everything, but come on. This is insane.
I don’t know about you, but from now on if anyone offers me seats right behind the glass, I’m going to have to respectfully decline.
