Manny Pacquio Is Way Better at Basketball than Singing (Video)
The other day I said Manny Pacquiao was a renaissance man who, in addition to being one of the greatest boxers in the world, was also a politician, pro basketball player, and a fantastic singer.
Of course, I was lying about the singing part. Pacquiao really does have a few records to his name, but he is actually a terrible singer, so I’m sorry for misleading you.
I was totally serious about that other stuff, though. He really is a congressman in the Philippines (re-elected in 2013), and he really is a professional basketball player for the Kia Sorrentos of the PBA—the Philippine Basketball Association. In fact, he’s not just a player. He’s also the coach. And he’s part owner of another team. And he’s the shortest player in the league.
So is he any good? Not by NBA standards, no. But he’s better than that cousin of yours who thinks he’s hot sh*t and is always talking trash at the gym.
Anyway, as part of a promotional tour for his upcoming fight against Chris Algieri on November 22, Manny recently stopped by the Golden State Warriors training facility and played a little pickup. Take a look:
That doesn’t make me want to check out the Philippine Basketball Association. But I’d rather watch Pac-Man play basketball than listen to him sing. So that’s something.
