Charlie Sheen Offers $1000 to the Waiter Who Received LeSean McCoy’s 20-Cent Tip (Pic)
Leave it to Charlie Sheen to turn LeSean McCoy’s 20-cent tip into some free publicity for Charlie Sheen.
On Tuesday, as you have probably heard, the owner of PYT, a Philadelphia burger joint, posted a photo of a $61.56 bill with a ridiculous $0.20 tip that immediately went viral. Then he claimed in a Facebook post and in interviews with various news outlets that the person who left the minuscule tip was none other than Philadelphia Eagles star running back LeSean McCoy, and that he decided to go public because McCoy had been extremely rude to his hardworking staff.
McCoy, for his part, pulled a Warren Sapp and claimed that the service was horrible. And you have to admit that it’s not inconceivable that a restaurant owner would lie about something like this if he thinks it will get him good press—and if he thinks he can get away with it.
But you feel free to believe whoever you want. What matters here is that, yesterday, Charlie Sheen inserted himself into the situation by pledging $1,000 to the jilted waiter.
dear Tommy Up at PYT in Philly. Please tell Rob K I’m pledging 1000 dollars to him for the tip debacle just wanna help. c #NoJudgement
