LeBron James Unveils the New Nike LeBron 12 (Gallery)
In a couple of weeks LeBron James will join the Cleveland Cavaliers’s training camp and begin his quest to bring a real, honest-to-God professional sports championship to the city of Cleveland. Yesterday, however, he had some other business to attend to at the Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
That business? Unveiling the brand new Nike LeBron 12 sneaker.
The Nike LeBron 12 will eventually be available in seven different colorways. However, it’s the marquee edition, the green and orange Nike LeBron 12 NSRL, that got the spotlight at yesterday’s unveiling. It hits stores on October 11, 2014, and will retail for $200.
Take a look:
In case you were wondering about those colorful hexagons on the soles of the shoe, Nike calls those “Nike Air Zoom Units” and says they “deliver ultra-responsive, ultra-flexible cushioning.” Which is hilarious. Apparently they’ve harnessed the power of hexagons?
Anyway, as for the other colorways, they’ll be rolling out one at a time between now and Christmas. Here they are…
Heart of a Lion (October 30, 2014):
Dunk Force (November 11, 2014):
Instinct (November 22, 2014):
Six Meridians (November 29, 2014):
Trillion Dollar Man (December 1, 2014):
Data (December 20, 2014):
So what do you think? Will you be camping outside your local Footlocker to grab a pair of these, or will you just wait until the next Jordans come out?
