Why Is There Going to Be a Tim Duncan Cameo in a ‘Punisher’ Comic?
A Tim Duncan cameo in a comic book is just the thing the NBA needs to remind everyone how righteous it is when compared to the NFL. That’s not to say that NBA players are saints – they’re actually pretty bad people, too. Just not as bad as NFL players.
“Oh, you guys beat your wives and kids? Yeah, we’re flawed, too. We really like comic books. And sometimes we get longhorn skulls tattooed on our shoulders. We’re bad boys.”
(That was a fictitious Tim Duncan saying those words.)
News hit today that we can expect a Tim Duncan cameo in an upcoming issue of the Punisher comic book from Marvel. I personally enjoy that little bit of news with no context whatsoever, but you might want to know why the hell this is happening, so I’ll indulge.
Here’s a photo of the “event”:
Oh man. Duncan looks really stoned. That’s not good.
In typical Tim Duncan cameo fashion, here’s a statement on behalf of the star that features the type of punctuation you would expect from Duncan following this news:
“We are proud to announce a very special release of The Punisher featuring TD!!! Tim and BlackJack will also be building a replica of the car featured in the comic! Want to win this Car??? All of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to a local San Antonio Charity!”
