The KC police really wanted to watch the end of last night’s one-game AL Wild Card playoff against the Oakland A’s. While the police normally ask that citizens abide by the law, they REALLY wanted people to be good and safe until the Royals game was over. The KC police sent out a Tweet asking people not to break the law and to drive safely until the game was over.

I guess when the game ends, people were free to go back to terrorizing each other and driving like drunk frat bros playing GTA. There’s no word yet on whether the masses obeyed the Tweet, but I”m guessing that even the criminals were more likely to stay home and watch the epic 12-inning battle.

Then, when the Royals won, the KC Police department sent out this one, which is actually kinda cool and sweet:

I guess Missouri police could use this type of boost these days.
