Packers TE catch with dad

Packers TE Richard Rodgers Jr. hasn’t had much of a chance to make a name for himself in the NFL yet, but he did share a cute moment with the football world early Sunday.

Prior to the kickoff of the Green Bay Packers-Carolina Panthers game, Rodgers was able to make some time to throw the ball around with this dad, Richard Rodgers, Sr., who just so happens to serve as the special teams coach for Carolina.

Likely, they won’t get to see very much of each other 8 months a year, and I’m sure that dad is proud as a peacock with his son and his many accomplishments, so the two took a few minutes on a serene Wisconsin morning to play catch at Lambeau Field.

We don’t have a video, but it’s likely it wouldn’t be able to tell any more of a story than the pic above does.

Father and son, a reunion of sorts, getting some quality time in before the whole place goes ballistic for a football game.

Father’s day came early.
