Epic Kansas City News Channel Twitter Fail During Game 1 of the World Series (Pics)

The entire city of Kansas City was pumped up for Game 1 of the World Series last night, and when things got ugly you could actually hear the buzz being killed.

For that reason, you certainly can’t blame people who felt the need to flip channels for a bit. And you can’t blame anyone who tried to capitalize on that need to flip channels by getting on Twitter and promoting their content. Any channel in Kansas City that’s not Fox is going to experience a ratings black hole during the World Series. You’ve got to strike while the iron is hot!

Unfortunately, this sense of opportunism led to the rather embarrassing Kansas City news channel Twitter fail which you see above.

“Hey Royals fans! Escape this depressing Royals game by checking out this awesome murder!”

Obviously, this tweet was quickly deleted, and we can only assume a couple of KCTV 5 interns got canned.
