Boston Bruins Dress Up as Frozen Characters for Visit to Children’s Hospital (Pic)
“Bruins dress up as frozen characters?” you say. “But aren’t the two main characters from Frozen female?”
Yep. Exactly. That’s what makes this story so amusing. Boston Bruins players go “reverse trick-or-treating” at the Boston Children’s Hospital every year around Halloween, dressing up in costumes and handing out bags of Bruins swag to sick kids. However, what really makes this year’s trip special is that two of them went in drag as Anna and Elsa from the most beloved (and, for Disney, most profitable) children’s movie of the last 20 years.
That’s Matt Fraser as Anna on the left and Dougie Hamilton as Elsa on the right. Then there’s Kevan Miller as Kristoff, Matt Bartowski as Sven the reindeer, Torey Kurg as Olaf the snowman, and Seth Griffith as Prince Hans.
Pictured with the Bruins is a young boy named Joey, who is in the hospital recovering from brain surgery after being struck by a puck. The funny thing is, under normal circumstances, you can bet Joey wouldn’t be caught dead taking a photo with two women dressed up as Anna and Elsa, let alone a couple of dudes. But the Bruins in drag? Yep, that’s fine.
You gotta love it.
