Who Needs LeBron? Here Is Miami’s James Ennis Posterizing Rasual Butler (Video)
The Miami Heat kicked off the post-LeBron era on Wednesday night with a win at home against the Washington Wizards in front of several dozen fans.
Nah, just kidding. The official attendance was 19,744. And the ones not posting selfies to Instagram or waiting in line for Bud Light Platinum were treated to a pretty awesome play: James Ennis posterizing Washington’s Rasual Butler.
That’s right, James Ennis, the guy you’ve never heard of. A second round draft pick by the Hawks in 2013, the Heat picked him up in the offseason. You know, to replace LeBron, because he also plays small forward.
But about last night. While Chris Bosh, Norris Cole, and Dwyane Wade led the way in Miami’s 107-95 win with 26, 23, and 21 points respectively, Ennis had the biggest play, scoring two of his five measly points by dunking right over the top of Butler.
Take a look:
Is this a sign of big things to come from Ennis? Who knows. But that was a pretty sweet dunk that probably reminded Heat fans of the good old days.
