Grambling State-Mississippi Valley State Game Postponed Due to…Sprinklers (Video)

by: Penn Collins On  Friday, November 7, 2014

In case Grambling doesn’t have a spotty enough football legacy, they can add this bizarre turn of events to their history. In the second quarter of the Grambling vs. Mississippi Valley State game, the sprinklers came on. Just like they do at your aunt’s house. And just like your aunt, no one at the stadium expected it or knew how to turn the damn things off.

So they waited. The players waited. The fans waited. The sprinkler repair guys definitely waited.

It wasn’t all bad news, though. Grambling eventually won (which I guess was bad news to MVSU), and we got to use the hashtag #sprinklerfun on our Vine account. SILVER LININGS, PEOPLE!

This is pretty much par for the course when it comes to SWAC football, so let’s just enjoy a few clips of it, no?

My God, that mascot looks like an idiot. Have some self-respect, sir.
