Another Derrick Rose Injury? Yep, Another Derrick Rose Injury (Video)
You’re not going to believe this everybody, but we have yet another Derrick Rose injury to tell you about. Late in Thursday night’s 100-93 win over the Raptors in Toronto, the Bulls point guard stepped awkwardly, lost his balance, fell to the floor, and did not return to the game.
Rose wasn’t worried after the game. “I don’t think it’s that serious,” he said. “Just ice it, stim, see if I can practice [Friday] and give it a go Saturday.”
Of course, after missing the last two seasons with a torn ACL in one knee and then a torn meniscus in the other—plus four games already this season due to sprained ankles—there is absolutely no reason to believe this minor “hamstring tweek” will turn out to be anything short of disastrous. They’ll probably do an MRI and discover that D-Rose’s hammy is completely detached from the bone , requiring 8-48 weeks of rehab.
Or maybe Rose will be back in action on Saturday. Who knows.
In any case, here’s the play where Rose went down:
Seriously, Bulls fans, why do you even bother?
