Could Michael Jordan dominate the NBA in 2014? Well that depends. Are we asking if the Michael Jordan we all know right now—i.e. the 51-year-old owner of the Charlotte Hornets—could dominate the NBA? Because if so, then the only people who would answer “yes” are Bill and Bob Swerski. (Provided Ditka was Jordan’s coach, obviously.)

However, if we’re asking whether Michael Jordan in his prime could have dominated the NBA in 2014, the answer is a resounding yes. Guys like Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell would be stars today, but they probably wouldn’t dominate quite the way they did in their day because there are other players who posses the same basic skillset—though certainly to a lesser degree.

But Jordan? Jordan would tear up the league in 2014. In fact, he might even be more dominant now.

You want reasons? No problem. Our friends over at The Drop put together a whole list of them to celebrate the release of the Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” this Sunday. Go check them out.
