Johnny Manziel

Johnny Manziel earned himself a little more NFL legitimacy when he scored his first touchdown, having stepped in for Brian Hoyer against the Bills earlier today…

Johnny Football then immediately whizzed all over that legitimacy by doing his little “money” celebration.

I guess he hasn’t learned in the first six months of his NFL career that backup QBs don’t get signature moves. Hell, most starting QBs don’t get their own celebratory displays. He might be overreaching here.

But he did score a touchdown. Which is something. It capped off an eight-play, 80-yard drive in “relief” of Brian Hoyer.

Here’s a look at Johnny Manziel’s first career NFL touchdown.

Not bad. Then this.

Then, the Bills fans did this:

It helps if your team wins, Johnny Manziel. The Browns didn’t.

These videos sort of form a play in three acts. Heroic act, hubris, come-uppance. It’s like Sophocles, only with some jerk named Johnny Football.
