Jets Exclude Geno Smith From Pregame Intros Because They Fear Fans Will Boo Him

The pregame introductions are a great time for fans to show some love for the players on their hometown team that they respect and admire most.  But it is also the perfect opportunity for fans to vent their frustrations towards the players on their team that they feel are worthless are overpaid.  The Jets know the second point all too well, and that’s exactly why they decided to exclude Geno Smith from the pregame introductions of the team’s offense on Monday night.

Fearing the Jets quarterback would be booed relentlessly, the New York Jets opted against having Smith introduced to the fans at MetLife Stadium prior to last night’s division match-up against the Miami Dolphins.

Geno Smith didn’t do much to win over the Jets fans on this evening, as he threw for just 65 yards, zero touchdown, and one interception during a 16-13 loss.

I’m sure Jets fans were able to get their boos in when he left the field after the game.
