Nick Young on Kobe’s 6,000th Assist: Tell Him to Pass ME the Ball (Video)
On Sunday night, Kobe Bryant recorded his 20th career triple-double during the Lakers surprising win over the Raptors. In doing so, he also recorded his 6,000th assist of his 20-year career, becoming the first player in NBA history to have 30,000 points and 6,000 assists.
That’s an impressive feat. But what does Kobe’s teammate Swaggy P, a.k.a. Nick Young, think about it? Well, after the game reporters asked him for his thoughts—partly because Swaggy P was the breakout star of the Lakers’ 2013-14 season, and partly because they know he has a knack for producing amusing sound bytes. And Swaggy did not disappoint.

In case you were wondering, Nick Young would have to average 40 points a game for the next 12 years to reach 46,000 points.
The all-time record is 38,387. That’s held by some guy named Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Kobe currently has 32,153, so he probably won’t catch Kareem. However, he is less than 200 points away from eclipsing Michael Jordan for third on the all-time list. So that’s something.
