Jason Chimera’s Face Is a Bloody Mess (Pics + GIFs)
Jason Chimera scored the lone goal of the game during the Washington Capitals’ 1-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, but who cares about that? We’re more interested in Jason Chimera’s face than his game-winning goal.
That’s because Jason Chimera’s face was a bloody mess after being clipped on the cheek by the stick of teammate Joel Ward during the second period of the game. This latest facial laceration for the Caps’ winger comes just a few months after his nose was mangled during a game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Here’s what Jason Chimera’s mug looked like after his collision with Ward’s stick. If you look close enough, you’ll notice the word “hockey” written all over that beat-up face:
Chimera doesn’t look too happy in that last pic from his post-game media scrum. But at least his coach seems to be having some fun with it:
Trotz in Chimera: “I said ‘Your modeling career is over, just like mine.'”
