Kurt Busch’s Ex-Girlfriend May or May Not Be a Trained Assassin (Pic + Video)
Earlier this week, former NASCAR champ Kurt Busch claimed that his ex-girlfriend was a trained assassin, and everyone was like, oh haha Kurt Busch is crazy. However, the more you read about and research Busch’s ex, Patricia Driscoll, the more you realize Kurt Busch might not be that crazy. There is more than enough evidence to convince an impressionable and/or paranoid person that Driscoll really does kill drug lords for a living.
This all started back in November. Driscoll claims Busch assaulted her in his motorhome, smashing her head against the wall three times. The police investigation into the alleged domestic incident has not led to any charges, and several witnesses have testified to inconsistencies in Driscoll’s account. However, she filed for a protection order against Busch, and the court hearing over that petition began this week.
It was during testimony at this hearing that Busch claimed that he believed his ex-girlfriend was a trained assassin.
Here’s the summary of Busch’s claims, per the Associated Press:
Busch said Driscoll repeatedly asserted her assassin status and claimed the work took her on missions across Central and South America and Africa. He recounted a time they were in El Paso, Texas, when Driscoll left in camouflage gear only to return later wearing a trench coat over an evening gown covered with blood.Busch said that, a day earlier, Driscoll told him she was a mercenary who killed people for a living and had shown him pictures of bodies with gunshot wounds.
Busch said Driscoll had claimed that a female character in Zero Dark Thirty, a film depicting the CIA’s hunt for Osama bin Laden, was a composite of her and other women.
Busch says he knows “people on the outside” think he is crazy, but he “lived it from the inside.”
Here’s the thing, though. Busch may be crazy, but Driscoll does work for a defense contractor called Fronline Defense Systems, which provides the government with “unique security solutions and services.” Here’s a screen cap of her bio on their website:
That part about “unique security solutions and services”—that could be code for “we take people out,” right? And Driscoll has talked about her job in those terms before. In an interview with a NASCAR blog, she said her company “has provided a lot of solutions to the government on different aspects that I can’t talk about.”
And then there’s this bizarre video, which seems to be a kind of “demo tape” for a proposed reality series:
So let’s see. You call yourself “Pocket Commando” and “Commando Mommy.” You own a defense company that does things you can’t talk about. And you drive your kid to school wearing camo. Okay then.
Look, if Kurt Busch’s ex is an assassin, she’s doing a pretty shitty job of staying under the radar. But it’s pretty easy to see how someone who might be a bit unstable, or maybe just dumb, could jump to certain conclusions.
